"Used to frequent this place ages ago but I felt the quality dropped so I haven’t been back for over 5years. Decided to try it again yesterday and was impressed with how the standard has gone back up. We had the coconut based tom yum, pad see ew, pad prik khing, panang curry, soft shell crab som tum. Everything was really good except the panang curry which I felt was a bit salty. panang curry are usually on sweeter side. Overall the service was fast and turnover of tables are expected to move quickly as the dining space is very tight."

"Food was excellent! But their service is not great, all female staffs looked upset without smile throughout our time. Although my friend recommended this Thai place, I wouldn’t go again as there are many Thai restaurants in the area, what a shame. Pretty small place, you better get first round at their opening time if you intend to visit here."

"Food alone I think hands down best thai in sydney. The flavour overall is spicy but its incredibly tasty and fragrant compare to other average Thai restaurants with lots of herbs and spices in their dishes. It kinda reminds me Cambodian style food. It's a small restaurant so not much ambiance etc is there but you go there for food. I feel food is incredibly nourishing I always get the food there when I feel under the weather too. Strongly recommend Homok (banana leaf fish curry) which is only available dinner seating. Jungle curry is amazing and prawn lemongrass salad and pad thai along with all the other dishes i've tried are all wonderful! Highly recommend if you love Thai food."

"Lovely food. Two locals loved all dishes but for me the crispy pork was a little too crunchy. Nonetheless we enjoyed it very much! Love the fact that they were willing serve hot water in this cold weather! Restaueant was pretty empty around 6pm on a Thursday night but quickly became busy around 6.15pm. No reservations so have to show up. Bill was around $98.5 with 3 mains & 3 rice."

"Spice I Am delivers Thai cuisine with impressive depth and complexity. The flavours are layered, vibrant, and thoughtfully constructed—standing apart from many mainstream Australian-Thai offerings. Each dish feels intentional and true to its roots. While the food is exceptional, a warmer and more attentive service style would elevate the overall dining experience even further."

"I’ve been to Spice I Am many times, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently amazing, bursting with authentic Thai flavors and perfectly balanced spices. A must-order every time is the banana blossom salad—it’s fresh, vibrant, and absolutely packed with flavor. Service is always quick and efficient, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The staff are friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with just the right blend of energy and comfort. Whether you’re going for a casual lunch or a dinner with friends, the setting adds to the overall experience. Highly recommended if you’re after some of the best Thai food in town."

"A casual Thai restaurant very close to our place and a great local find. Prices are very reasonable, portions are generous, and the food is flavorful and satisfying overall. One of the dishes we ordered was extremely spicy, and a heads-up from the staff about the heat level would have been appreciated. That said, the overall experience was enjoyable, and it’s definitely a good spot for tasty Thai food at great value. A solid four-star place."
